The festival aims to have an emphasis on the darker, richer beers associated with winter, but there’s a wide range of beers of all styles from the UK and around the world, as well as cider and perry.

Like all CAMRA festivals the Cambridge beer festival is organised and run by unpaid volunteers. We are always looking for volunteers, old and new. As a volunteer you get cheap beer and free food. If you’d like to help out, whether just for a few hours one evening or throughout the festival, you will be made most welcome. Don’t worry about needing experience, as training will be given and we have a wide range of jobs available. You can volunteer on line.

The Cambridge Stem Cell Institute have partnered with Cambridge brewers Moonshine to develop a scientific session ale designed to engage new audiences with stem cell research.  You’ll hear from Moonshine on some of the science behind their distinctive beers, and you’ll get a taste for life in a contemporary stem cell laboratory with some of our leading researchers.

To top it off, there will be a pop up Moonshine bar and beer tasting where you can sample our stem cell brew ‘Regenerator’ and test your newfound knowledge, as all good scientists do!
